borucan indian masks

On a recent visit to Selby Gardens we were lucky enough to discover that they had the Borucan Indian Masks exhibit/sale going on. We stumbled upon this exhibit accidentally last year, and I was thrilled to find it again this year. Luck was definitely on our side this time around- not only was it the last day of the exhibit, there was only about an hour left.

These masks are absolutely gorgeous and I wish that my photos could do them better justice. They are carved by the Borucan Indians of Costa Rica and are painted in the most brilliant colors. It was hard to narrow down these photos, so it’s a long post. I wanted to share all of them!

hubby’s favorite…

it was painful how badly I wanted to take this one off the wall and just take it home with us…
