They say cleanliness is next to godliness.

Mojo, ninja-style

I was walking around in the backyard yesterday, coralling the puppers and stewing in a stinking funk of a mood when out of nowhere my mojo jumped out from behind a tree, karate chopped me in the back of the head, roundhouse kicked me Chuck Norris style, and then pointed me in the direction of a resting bee.

It was over before I knew what hit me. As fast as it attacked, my mojo disappeared. But I caught a glimpse of it. I *think* it may have been flipping me off, but I will forgive it that and just be thankful that I was graced with it's karate-chopping presence, even if it was for just a second.

Slacker. It’s my middle name.

I have been a slacker. There is no denying it. I have been dealing with the on-going struggle of trying to locate where I last placed my passion for photography. I can't seem to remember where that spot is. I am considering posting a reward for anyone that can find it for me. I sort of miss it.

That leaves me with a blog that collects dust. And I am not a superstar when it comes to house cleaning. Just saying.

The most excitement I have had in the last month was being held hostage for two days in a New Hampshire airport by US Airways. I officially hate US Airways, in case you were wondering. It took me not one, not even two, but THREE tries to get home. Did I mention how I feel about US Airways? And as a bonus prize, for hanging out for two days in an airport I brought home with me an amazing cold! Woo! Why buy a Live Free Or Die sweatshirt when you can get your very own body full of germs?! That is my kind of souvenir. And that is it. Really. Fun times had by all, I know.

We are enjoying a very quiet Memorial Day. I like very quiet days. Koda decided that he needed a very quiet day too. I love when he gets his lazy on.

perspective

The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.
-Henry Miller

I am ever-so-slowly re-organinzing my external harddrive and am constantly amazed at the amout of photos I have left laying around unedited. These are some of my favorite photos that I have taken. I shared a few from this shoot about a year ago, when they were taken. I apologize in advance if I RE-share any that you have already seen 🙂 I have been known to repeat myself.

The thing that makes me so passionate about macro is the level of perspective you can gain by getting so close to something. The ordinary can become extraodinary, and before long, you are looking at the most mundane of objects and seeing beauty in them. You see things in a different light. The boring becomes exciting. That is why macro tickles my soul.
